After getting lost in the perfume department at Sundt on Torgallmenningen and taking the lift, we realised we had missed the large door with the name of the restaurant. But a little exploration was well worth it because we could now head inside what is clearly one of the coolest restaurants in the city – Sann. Superb service, a relaxed atmosphere and an exquisite tasting menu at affordable prices. Highly recommended!
Psst: The Trekroner hot dog standExternal link, which launched in 1946, is an institution in Bergen. The hot dog videos on TikTok have now taken Bergen hot dogs to new heights, so you should expect to queue. But we promise, the hot dogs are worth waiting for.

3 hiking trails worth checking out
Løvstien
Løvstien is the latest attraction in the city and follows the base of Løvstakken, which is 6.4 km long. You will have excellent views across Byfjorden and the Bergen valleys from the trail. One of the highlights of the route is the impressive 383-metre long bridge.
The top of Fløibanen
The top of the Fløibanen funicular provides the perfect starting point for hikes in the urban mountains. If you want an easy hike, you can check out the hiking trails to Fløyvarden or Fjellhytten. If you are tempted by a longer excursion, Rundemanen and Blåmanen are definitely worth exploring.
Stoltzekleiven
Stoltzekleiven is perfect for those who are looking for a good workout and don’t mind feeling some lactic acid. Stoltzen welcomes you with a steep rocky hiking trail with around 900 steps up towards Sandviksfjellet.
